For BOTCON 2009 transformers convention:
This is my 2nd place finishing hand drawn black and white art submission. Based of course on the famous Al Pacino Scareface movie poster. ENJOY!
Decepticon Apeface, copyright Hasbro.
Special thanks to all the TF artists who have given me good constructive advice and pushed me to better myself! Thanks a ton guys!

Thanx!
I was still pretty new to digital inkin at the time. I've gotten FART better since then (I think).

You have no idea how close I came to doing something damned near identical to this for a recent IDW drawing competition! Mind you, my version would have had the Monkey Bot in the classic white suit and pose...
Utterly brilliant stuff!

Right on! And thanx! Monkey bot as in Apeface in ape mode or are you talk bout primal?
Funny thing is - I THOUGHT it was an original Idea - but Don Fig did one of Megatron a year prior! ARGH!
At least I can claim I did Grimlock in the Jurrassic Park setting before Nick Roche did it - though his is superior to mine.

Yup, monkey bot = Apeface. No question. Because we all know, Optimus Prime is a TRUKK NOT MUNKKY!
Remember - everybody's efforts are valid. This poster print style image oozes cool and class all of its own.
